FREE SME Toolkit Workshop
This is your free opportunity to attend this exclusive workshop on how to support your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of your team.
New Leaf is working with the Somerset Public Health Team to deliver workplace emotional wellbeing training to small and medium sized (SME) businesses across Somerset.
The focus is on supporting those who have been impacted by Covid through the virus itself, experience of lockdown or the impact of the recession.
The Omicron Hospitality & Leisure Grant (OHLG) remains open for businesses who have business-rates registered premises in Mendip District and trade in an eligible industry sector.
Hospitality - this applies to pubs, restaurants, cafes and businesses where over 50% income is derived from direct in-person hospitality (except food kiosks and takeaways). It excludes food & drink manufacturing businesses and other hospitality supply chain businesses, who may consider applying for the Additional Restrictions Grant instead.
Leisure - this applies to venues, tourist attractions, celebratory and entertainment venues. Following updates to Government guidance published 21 January, the following businesses are now excluded from the grant scheme. Gyms, sports centres, sports clubs, indoor riding schools and golf courses. Excluded leisure businesses who can demonstrate a severe impact by Omicron may consider applying for the Additional Restrictions Grant instead.
Visitor Accommodation - B&Bs, Guesthouses and holiday lets which can evidence active trading over the past 6 months may also apply for the OHLG grant. Non-rated B&Bs may also consider applying for the Additional Restrictions Grant.
Please note that businesses who have already applied may be asked for further evidence in some cases to reflect the new data collection requirements following changes to Government guidance.
Following recent changes to Government guidance, the OHLG application process will now close at 5pm on Friday 11 March 2022.
